New sponsor – Vale of White Horse Community Capital Grant
We are delighted to announce that the Vale of White Horse Community Capital Grant Committee has decided to award the band the maximum possible grant of £3150, towards instruments for our Learner Band.
This is the largest single donation the band has received for many years, and will help ensure that we have suitable instruments for the growing number of learners joining and playing with Blewbury Brass Band.
Since we already have players for them, we are likely to buy two Junior EEb basses (smaller, lighter and less expensive than a fullsize tuba) and will consider the purchase of a euphonium and baritone since all such band-owned instruments are already being played.
