We played to open the Christmas Tree Festival at start of December. This time we played in doors due to the weather. We enjoyed the warmth, but were split on whether this improved the atmosphere.

The band enjoys playing out and have an extensive list of engagements including local village fêtes, weddings, concerts, church and school events. Our presence at an event adds enjoyment of music and a feeling of Great British tradition.
A typical event involves the band playing two 45 minute sets with a break for tea in between sets. All our players are volunteers but we charge a modest fee to cover band expenses and are delighted to be offered simple refreshments in the break.
Our standard performance fee is £200-250, depending on the length of performance required. Fees earned throughout the year enable the band to buy and service instruments and gradually expand our collection of music. We do not normally require electricity as we are wind powered!
