Blewbury Brass Band will be playing at the Hagbourne Fete on Saturday 13 June 2015, which will be held at the Hagbourne School in East Hagbourne. The band will start the fete by leading the fancy dress parade around the playing field at 1.45 o/c.
The East Hagbourne Fete raises funds for the local church, and is one of the most lively fetes in the area.

We are most grateful to Jamie Saunders, son of Peter and Ann Saunders (stalwarts of Blewbury), for having made a donation to the band. When Jamie, a former French Horn player, was told of the band’s fundraising challenge by his mother he immediately made a donation to be used towards the purchase of instruments for brass clubs at Blewbury School and Hagbourne School.
Jamie: It’s never too late to start playing again, whether with a band or orchestra! Blewbury Brass Band has several “resurrected” players who didn’t play for many (eg 25+) years.
0 Rustom Patel sponsors the band
We are delighted to announce that Rustom Patel, Lord of the Prebendal Manor of Blewbury, has made a donation to the band. This will be put towards the purchase of instruments for brass clubs at Blewbury School and Hagbourne School.
In previous years, Rustom has donated several instruments to the band and his continued support is hugely appreciated.
