0 Playin’ in the rain
The East Hagbourne fete is good fun – it starts with a parade through the village led by the band. Unfortunately it was raining, and here we are willing the rain to stop so that we can go and lead the parade. 
Thankfully, the sun did appear later on which allowed us (and the music) to dry out a bit after we got soaked playing Slaidburn as we “marched”.
As ever, the woodlouse racing was our favourite stand at the fete.

Blewbury Brass Band will be playing at the East Hagbourne Fete on Saturday 15 June, and will be leading the fancy dress parade from Hagbourne School playground at 1.30 o/c.
0 bbb at Uptonogood
A small group from the Blewbury Brass Band will be playing at the Uptonogood event from 1100-1230, sending cyclists off on their charity sponsored ride, and welcoming them back, with dulcet tones!
0 bbb open the Blewbury Festival Family Day
Blewbury Brass Band will be opening the Blewbury Festival Family Day at 1200 on Saturday 8 June, and will then continue to provide background music for the hoards of visitors expected at this very likely event,
0 bbb at East Ilsley Sheep Fair
Blewbury Brass Band will be playing at the East Ilsley Sheep Fair on Sunday 2 June.
The fair originally dates back to 1620, when East Ilsley held one of England’s largest sheep markets with some 400,000 sheep sold each year in this pretty Berkshire village. In 1975 a group of villagers resurrected the fair in the form of a small country show with a variety of events and attractions for all ages. All profits made from the fair are given back to local organisations.
Over 2,000 people attended the show last year so stallholders are gearing up to make this years event another great success.
It promises to be a big, free and fun weekend. There will be a craft tent, fun races for all ages, a children’s entertainer, classic cars and bikes, a food court and bar and so much more. A great day out for all the family!
0 South Moreton Christmas Fayre
The band will be playing at South Moreton Primary School at their Christmas Fayre.
0 Carols & “Have a Blow” table at Hagbourne School Christmas Fair
The band will be playing carols at the Hagbourne Primary School Christmas Fair on Sunday 25 November from 1100-1530. We will also be manning a “Have a Blow” table for anybody who would like to try one of our brass instruments, whether small (like a cornet) or large (like a tuba)!

The band will be making a welcome return to this enjoyable family event in the small village of South Moreton.

0 Didcot Hospital Fete
The band will be playing at this year’s Didcot Hospital Fete. Always a busy event and an important fund raiser for the hospital. The band is normally found in the shade of the cherry trees near the seating for the refreshment tents.
