Blewbury Brass Band are delighted to have been invited back to the Compton Fete, on Saturday 5 July 2014, and will play from 1.30 – 3.30 PM.
Compton Village annual fete is held on the recreation ground (Burrell Road, Compton, RG20 6NP, between Newbury and Streatley-on-Thames) and is in aid of village hall funds. There are vintage cars and motor cycles, old static engines, Funfair, a wide variety of stalls, a real ale bar…and the Blewbury Brass Band!!!
The fete is preceded by the Compton Harriers Fun Run and Youngster Fun Run.
The Blewbury Brass Band will be playing at the Uptonogood event, in Upton on Saturday 14 June 2014, sending cyclists off on their charity sponsored ride, and welcoming them back, with dulcet tones!
Blewbury Brass Band will be playing at the East Hagbourne Fete on Saturday 7 June 2014, which is this held at the Hagbourne School in East Hagbourne. The band will start the fete by leading the fancy dress parade around the playing field at 1.45 o/c.
The East Hagbourne Fete raises funds for the local church, and is one of the most lively fetes in the area.
The Blewbury Learner Band will be playing on Saturday 10 May 2014, at the Blewbury Green May Fair.
DUE TO THE LOUSY WEATHER FORECAST WE WILL BE PLAYING IN THE BLEWBURY VILLAGE HALL AT THE END OF WESTBROOK STREET, BLEWBURY (not outside at Blewbury School).
A joint event with Blewbury School, the Blewbury Village Society and Sustainable Blewbury, enjoy a home-made lunch, tea and cakes, and local produce. Fun activities for the children and live music. Find out how to reduce your bills and your carbon footprint, eco-renovate your home, encourage bees into your garden and grow your own vegetables.
The fair runs from 1100 – 1530, the Learner Band will be playing from 1315 – 1345 and 1430 – 1500, and the band will be manning a “Have a Blow” table throughout the event for children and adults to try playing a brass instrument.
Blewbury Brass Band will play at the Brightwalton Fete on Sunday 4 May from 1300 – 1500.
A classic village fete, there is a huge variety of stall and activities, including an impressive and well-supported dog show.
To be precise, you’ll find the following at the Brightwalton Fete: Barbecue, Beard Shaving, Bottle Stall, Bouncy Castle, Cake Stall, China Smashing, Church Bells, Classic Cars, Dog Show, Domestic Heroes, Face Painting, Fire Engine, Football Tournament, Hog Roast and Burgers, Maypole Dancing, Morris Men, Penalty Shoot Out, Plants, Raffle sales and prizes, Shetland Ponies, Skittles, Teas, Tractors and Welly Wanging … not forgetting the Blewbury Brass Band!!

Blewbury Brass Band will be giving a free open air concert in the Tickers Folly Bandstand (beside the Blewbury recreation ground playground and skate park) on Sunday 15 September.
Alongside the band concert, “Sustainable Blewbury” will have a tent for people to bring, exchange and take away goods of all shapes and sizes. This is a perfect opportunity to pass on your unwanted goods to other people who can make good use of them.
Blewbury Brass Band will be playing at the Upton Fete during the afternoon of Saturday 7 September.
Apart from Blewbury Brass Band, highlights of the fete include a dog show, delicious jams and chutneys, and tea with an extraordinary variety of cake!
The Blewbury Brass Band will be playing at the Didcot Hospital Fete on Bank Holiday Monday, 26 August, during the afternoon.
The fete raises funds for the Friends of Didcot Hospital, to provide additional facilities for those at Didcot Hospital. THis is one of Didcot’s larger fetes, and well worth coming along to.
Blewbury Brass Band will be playing at the North Moreton Air Pageant on Sunday 25 August from 1200 until 1400. After we have played, the air display will begin.
As well as the band and air display there will be a pig roast, bar and other side shows.
Blewbury Brass Band will be playing at the West Ilsley Fete on Sunday 7 July from 12 o/c to 4 o/c.
The venue for this fete is spectacular – a huge village green – and the fete always has a wide range of classic stalls and activities.
