0 Thank you to Carbon Colour…
HUGE thanks to Carbon Colour, digital colour printers on Milton Park near Didcot, (www.carbon.co.uk) for donating 100 sheets of light blue SRA3 card (a tad larger than A3) to the band.
Why did we need it? Well come along to our Christmas Concert in Blewbury Village Hall at 7.30 PM on Saturday 6 December to find out!
Tickets cost £5 (£1 if still at school), from Savages of Blewbury, Blewbury Post Office, Blewbury Service Station and Martin Holliss (treasurer@blewburybrassband.org.uk / 07931 376501).
With a Licensed Bar, there are rumours of Mince Pies and Mulled Wine (amongst other goodies)!

Blewbury Brass Band will be giving an open air concert in the Bandstand, Victoria Park, Newbury, on Sunday 14 September from 1500-1700.
Seats will be available, or there is lots of grass to sit on. How about bringing a rug and picnic tea, to enjoy listening to the band playing a wide selection of brass band favourites.
0 CONCERT TIME: Beginner Band and Learner Band
The Blewbury Beginner Band and Learner Band will be giving an “End of Term Concert” this evening (Saturday 12 July) from 6.30 PM in the Blewbury School main hall, Westbrook Street, Blewbury OX11 9QB.
Everybody is welcome to come along (whether family, villagers, or plan-and-simple music lovers) and refreshments will be served afterwards.
There is no charge for entry – the more the merrier – and there is plenty of parking.
With a growing number of players (both young people and adults), t’s amazing to see the enthusiasm within both the Beginner Band and Learner Band, and to hear the music they are making under the Musical Director baton of Judith Atkins.
BRAVO to one and all!

0 Blewbury Brass Band “In Concert”
The Blewbury Brass Band will be giving a concert on the evening of Saturday 17 May, in the Blewbury Village Hall at 7.30 PM.
The Main Band, under the baton of Musical Director Ian Barlow, will play a wide range of pieces including Eleanor Rigby, Skyfall, Jurassic Park, Those Magnificent Men In Their Flying Machines and much more.
Our increasingly impressive Learner Band, conducted by Judith Atkins, are expected to play pieces including Dem Bones, Amazing Grace and Yellow Submarine.
Tickets are £5 per adult and £1 per child, available on the door, or from Savages in Blewbury, the Blewbury Post Office, the Blewbury Service Station, or from Martin Holliss (07931 376501 / martin@montagnac.eu).
Being the band’s first concert for many years, this should prove to be a most enjoyable evening.
Doors and a licensed bar will open at 7.00 PM.

A small group of players from Blewbury Brass Band will play carols and other seasonal music in the East Hagbourne Church, as part of the Christmas Tree Sponsorship event.
Come along (and sing along) on Sunday 15 December at 1630 for about 45 minutes.
0 bbb free concert at Tickers Folly, Blewbury
Blewbury Brass Band will be giving a free open air concert in the Tickers Folly Bandstand (beside the Blewbury recreation ground playground and skate park) on Sunday 15 September.
Alongside the band concert, “Sustainable Blewbury” will have a tent for people to bring, exchange and take away goods of all shapes and sizes. This is a perfect opportunity to pass on your unwanted goods to other people who can make good use of them.

Blewbury Brass Band will be playing in the Pavilion Gardens, Brighton on Saturday 17 August from 1430 – 1630.
The occasion coincides with the wedding in Brighton of Rhi Knight, daughter of our Musical Director, Bob Knight.

0 bbb at St Birinus School Annual Concert
The Blewbury Brass Band will play at the St Birinus School Annual Concert on the evening of Wednesday 24 April.
The concert will start at 7.30, with St Birinus musicians playing during the first half. After the interval, bbb and SBS musicians will form a “massed band” and play several pieces.
The band will also accompany a highly talented St Birinus musician playing The Acrobat (a trombone solo).
